Drawings

You’re probably tired of seeing these already, but I think they’re complete now. I’ve started on a third one, but it is going slowly.

Whether these are successes or not, I don’t know. Probably not, but as Walt Stanchfield wrote,

“We all have 10,000 bad drawings in us. The sooner we get them out the better.”

Guess it’s time to start a 4th! I quartered an old, 22″ x 30″ sheet of paper I found in a box upstairs while packing, so one more sheet left to go.

The drawing below is still in progress. I’m a bit afraid to go into it with ink, but I think it needs it.

In this last drawing, I am trying to incorporate the forms from some of my crochet work (such as this piece in progress below). I’d like to do this more in the future, and maybe do some drawings of just the crochet forms themselves. I think that would make a good addition/update to my portfolio to help tie the crochet work in with the more 2-D work.
