Flocking to the Pump: One Day These Little Drawings Will Grow Up Into Prints

New Drawings

These photographs aren’t great, and they aren’t edited very well (sorry.) But I think these 2 drawings are done. I’ll get up to school sometime soon and photograph these and my other recent pieces more professionally.

In the meantime, I plan to start a few more drawings incorporating the crocheted forms and flocks of birds carting gas pump bundles-o-joy.

At some point, I will turn a version of this drawing into a screen print. It would be great if I could actually “flock” the print, as well. That would satisfy my sense of how the world should be (Flocking, in a printmaking sense, by the way, is dusting wet ink with particles of-your-choice to give it a pleasing texture.)
